Fire - Reylta
The music video for "Fire" by Reylta was created as part of her entry for Ireland’s Eurovision selection, blending powerful visuals with a deep sense of cultural identity. Set against striking Irish landscapes, the video weaves in symbolic imagery that reflects the resilience and passion at the heart of Irish history.
Through its use of elemental motifs—particularly fire and water—the video explores themes of inner strength, transformation, and the enduring spirit of a people shaped by struggle and survival. Reylta’s performance is intimate yet commanding, capturing both personal vulnerability and national pride.
The visual storytelling pays homage to Ireland’s past while looking forward, making "Fire" not just a song, but a tribute to heritage and identity. With its emotive cinematography and poetic symbolism, the video powerfully complements the song’s message, positioning it as a heartfelt and culturally resonant Eurovision entry.
As Head of Department for hair and makeup on Reylta’s "Fire" music video, I was responsible for designing and executing the looks for the lead cast, which included three principal performers. In addition to the leads, I provided makeup and hair styling for five extras, ensuring visual consistency and alignment with the creative direction of the project.
Beyond my primary role, I also supported the costume and production departments when needed, contributing to the overall aesthetic and flow on set. My involvement across multiple areas allowed for a collaborative and efficient working environment, helping to bring the visual narrative of the video to life in a cohesive and professional manner.
