breakdown

Brief of story :

Icarus and his father, Daedalus, escaped from Crete using wings made of feathers and wax. Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too high to the sun or too low to the sea. Overcome by ignorance, Icarus flew too close to the sun, melting the wax. His wings fell apart, and he plunged into the sea and drowned, serving as a cautionary tale about the dangers of the ego .

concept one : realistic burns

For my first idea I planned on doing a collection of burns. I had examined how burns happen and the outcomes of them. Once understanding the various natures of burns, I attempted to implement them.

Concept 2

oncept two : fantasy based

For my second concept I decided to examine the tale and use key elements within the story to capture for my pieces. Focusing on the wax in the wings melting, I chose to make a ‘wax figure’ melting.

Throughout this project, I encountered a number of challenges that tested my skills and resilience. These obstacles, however, ultimately contributed to my growth allowing me to learn a great deal. The difficulties I faced provided valuable lessons and insights, making the experience both enriching and enjoyable.
